Reading & Writing Support, Preschool to Grade 5
Help your child build reading confidence, express their ideas in writing and explore good character through Islamic stories.
Our live online sessions combine phonics, reading, discussion and guided writing. Many stories use a fun comic style, giving children an inviting starting point for learning about honesty, kindness, patience, gratitude and respect—guided by an encouraging teacher every step of the way.
What Your Child Will Practise
Four balanced pillars designed to foster independent, capable, and values-rooted learners.
Reading & Phonics
From recognising letter sounds and blending words to reading fluently and understanding a story, activities follow your child’s current skills. Children build rich vocabulary, answer questions and learn to explain what they have read.
Writing & Composition
We begin with early pencil skills and letter formation, moving progressively towards words, sentences and short pieces. Children write about the stories they explore, with direct support for spelling, punctuation and idea organization.
Character & Islamic Values
Stories introduce everyday choices involving honesty, kindness, patience, gratitude and respect. Children discuss a character’s actions and thoughtfully consider how they can reflect these noble Sunnah values in daily life.
Habits & Confidence
Sessions give children safe opportunities to listen, take turns, ask questions and try again when something feels challenging. We foster focused attention, steady effort and growing learning independence.
Who This Program Is For
Children from Preschool, JK and SK through Grade 5 (roughly ages 3–11). Placement thoughtfully balances your child’s current abilities alongside their age and grade:
A Gentle Start for Preschool, JK and SK
For our youngest learners, reading begins with listening, talking, sounds and playful interaction.
Sound & Word Play
Stories read aloud, letter sound recognition, tracing shapes, forming first letters, and interactive picture discussions.
Gentle Expression
Writing responses may begin with a drawing, a mark, or a single letter, depending on your child’s developmental readiness.
Parent Partnership
Activities are short, colourful and hands-on. A parent or caregiver should be nearby to assist with materials and technology.
Read, Discuss, Write
How our live sessions connect literacy, comprehension, and real-time guidance.
Read
Children listen to or read a story suited to their skill level. The teacher actively supports pronunciation, phonetic decoding, vocabulary expansion, and story flow.
Discuss
Together, we explore what happened, how the characters felt, and what their moral choices teach us. Children have dedicated time to ask questions and share reflections.
Write
Children respond through drawing, letter tracing, sentences or short written passages. Work is completed live during the session so the teacher offers instant, gentle feedback.

Questions Parents Often Ask
Does my child need to know their letters before joining?
No. Early learners can begin with listening, sound awareness, letter recognition and pre-writing activities. We meet your child where they are.
Will my child be placed by age or grade?
Age and grade help us understand your child’s educational background, but placement also considers their reading and writing skills. Small groups bring together children at a similar level so everyone feels confident.
Can the program fit around full-time Hifz?
Yes. Weekend and weekday options allow families to look for a suitable time around Hifz commitments. We will discuss availability and a manageable amount of home practice with you so Quran memorisation remains prioritized.
What materials will my child need?
A reliable internet connection, a device with a working camera and microphone, pencils and paper. A larger screen (laptop, tablet, or desktop) is helpful for viewing stories comfortably. Access to a printer is useful for take-home worksheets.
Does a parent need to stay during the session?
A parent or caregiver should be nearby for younger children (Preschool to Grade 1) to assist with technology and materials. Older children may participate more independently, depending on their individual needs.
Is this a complete school curriculum?
This program provides focused English reading and writing support through Islamic stories. Families use it alongside homeschooling, mainstream school or Hifz studies as an enriching academic pillar.
